Description

Take your next step in ice climbing, by learning to lead ice and follow multi-pitch ice routes, opening up more ice routes to have at your disposal. This course is designed to teach you how to lead ice climb, learn how to combine rock and ice climbing on routes, and concluded the course with a classic ice route.

Day 1: Ice Lead Climbing: Learn to place ice screws, build top management sites, and how to read ice for leading.

Day 2: Ice Mixed Climbing: Learn how rock climbing and ice climbing can mix.

Day 3: Classic Ice Climb (Big Objective): Combine all your newly acquired skills by finishing the course with a classic colorado ice route!

Pre-Requisites: Must have completed Ice Climbing Progression Series 1, or equivalent experience. Experience should include toproping on ice and seconding ice climbs, and also have some experience leading sport or trad climbs both indoors and outdoors.
