Collin’s passion for the outdoors began in North Carolina, where he spent most of his childhood running through the woods and climbing boulders, and sleeping under the stars. After finishing high school, Collin enlisted in the Marine Corps where he served four years in the Infantry, giving him necessary skills in leadership, resilience, and teamwork.
After his military service, Collin pursued a degree in recreational therapy, driven by a passion for helping others find healing and joy through living a life enjoying the outdoors. He worked at the Veterans Affairs, allowing him to teach recreation and leisure while providing much-needed therapy to veterans through rock climbing, hiking, surfing, and exercise.
After thru-hiking the Colorado Trail in 2019, he moved to Colorado the following year, where he quickly discovered his passion for all things outdoors. He dove headfirst into the Rocky Mountains and embraced all aspects of big mountain activities. He transitioned from recreational therapy to pursue his passion as an outdoor education instructor and guide for youth over the past two years.
When he’s not running the behind the scenes of the office, Collin enjoys mountain biking, scrambling, backpacking, snowboarding and traveling. He also loves spending time with his border collie, Ollie, who is always ready to play frisbee and bag peaks alongside him.
